Most fire engineers have thought at some point, usually when you are deep into a project, halfway through a standard, or after tracing a provision back through decades of inherited assumptions. 

The SFPE UK Chapter is creating a space in Manchester this year for exactly those conversations. 

This conference is about fire engineers coming together to discuss our profession, why we do things the way we do, what sits behind the guidance (when anything does), and how we move forward in a world where the guidance often dominates engineering thinking.
